The REM Self-Indicating Cumulative Dosimeter (S.I.C.D.) Wrist Watch Style Radiation Detector
is designed for those in the nuclear industry, military or similar professions, where there is a risk of exposure to a nuclear accident or nuclear weapon detonation, or similar very high exposure to radiation is possible, where the medical effects of high radiation exposure need to be assessed. The REM S.I.C.D. records and displays cumulative levels of exposure (>1 rem), and has no option to be reset or modified by the user. (NOTE: 1 rem = 10 millisieverts or MsV). Exposure levels measured by the REM S.I.C.D. are helpful when providing information to medical personnel for treatment protocols.
